Part-time: Starting at approximately 18 hours per week, increasing as training and the role develop
We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Studio Portrait Photographer to join our small, friendly team in Horsforth.
We are a family-run portrait studio with over 30 years’ experience, photographing everything from newborn babies and families through to makeover and boudoir photography.
This is a varied role and definitely more than simply taking photographs.
You will gradually be trained to work across:
Portrait photography
Client bookings and follow-up
Telephone and CRM communication
Client viewing appointments
Helping clients choose their favourite photographs and artwork
We are not a hard-sell studio. Great people skills, warmth and empathy are incredibly important to us.
Who We’re Looking For
You must have:
At least 2 years’ non-student experience photographing people
A strong portrait photography portfolio
A warm, chatty and empathetic personality
Excellent face-to-face communication skills
Confidence speaking to clients on the telephone
Confidence using messaging and CRM systems
A smart and professional appearance
Excellent reliability and timekeeping
The ability to work as part of a small team
Easy and reliable access to our studio in Horsforth, Leeds
Due to the nature of our boudoir photography, the role includes working closely with female clients during very personal and sensitive sessions, so discretion, professionalism and the ability to make clients feel completely comfortable are essential.
Working Hours
The role will begin at approximately 18 hours per week and is expected to increase to around 24 hours once fully trained, with the potential to grow further as the role develops.
Initially, you will be expected to work:
Saturdays
Sundays
Selected weekdays
1–2 evenings per week
Once fully trained, weekend working will be shared on a rota, although at least one weekend day will normally still be required.
